RENTON No wonder Kam Chancellor was so positive about all this.
Agent Alvin Keels confirmed to me Tuesday morning that the 29-year-old, four-time Pro Bowl safety and the Seahawks have agreed on a long-awaited, three-year contract extension. Josina Anderson of ESPN was the first to report the deal.
Keels confirmed Chancellor’s new contract is worth up to $36 million, with $25 million in guarantees.
So ends a quest for a new contract Chancellor began two years ago, with a fruitless holdout from training camp past the first two games of Seattle’s regular season in 2015.
The guaranteed money was king for Chancellor all along.
