The referee for Sunday’s Seattle-Dallas game will be Carl Cheffers, who has been something of a friendly face for both teams in recent years.
As ESPN detailed, the Cowboys have won their last three games with Cheffers as ref.
Seattle, though, has won its last four with Cheffers as the ref, including the victory over the Bears at CenturyLink Field last month, and a win over the Titans in 2013, the 58-0 defeat of Arizona in 2012 and a win at St.Louis in 2011 (here is Cheffers’ complete record).
The Seahawks were called for just five penalties against the Bears, tying a season-low and part of a stretch during which Seattle was among the least-penalized teams in the NFL.
