On Sunday, the Seahawks brought back a member of their practice squad in 2019 with the addition of EDGE Pita Taumoepenu. With 80 players already on the roster, a corresponding move had to be made for Taumoepenu’s signing to be made official. That transaction did come ahead of Sunday’s mock game, as Seattle announced Brandon Jackson was placed on injured reserve.
Jackson suffered a concussion and was knocked out during the Seahawks’ first mock game, held at CenturyLink Field. Out of respect for Jackson, who was taken away in an ambulance, Seattle ended that game early.
