RENTON, Wash. -- You can cross Evan Mathis' name off the list of free-agent offensive linemen that could be of help to the Seattle Seahawks.
Mathis signed with the Denver Broncos, the team announced Tuesday. It's a one-year deal that according to multiple reports is worth as much as $4 million if unspecified incentives are reached. That's likely more than the Seahawks were either willing or able to pay given their tight salary-cap situation.
