Seahawks vs. Cardinals: Preview and Prediction

The 4-4 Seattle Seahawks host the 6-2 Arizona Cardinals on Sunday Night Football. It's a matchup of NFC West teams that will likely fight until the end of the season for the division crown. So will the Cardinals or Seahawks pick up a needed win? Here's our preview and prediction.

Line: Seahawks by 3

What's At Stake:

This game will have a big impact on the NFC West race. It's also a "prove it" game for both teams. The Seahawks' and Cardinals' best win this season has come against the Chicago Bears. The winner of this game will get a needed boost to their resume and an advantage in the NFC West.

Key To The Game:

Which offense can actually move the ball? The Seahawks and Cardinals have two of the best defenses in the NFL. They both rank in the top 10 in every major stat and are in the top five or three in the most stats. The Cardinals have had the superior offense statistically, but they've beaten up on lesser teams. Both defenses will play well, but it'll be up to the offenses to find ways to get in the end zone. Points will be at a premium and settling for field goals won't be enough.

Prediction: Seahawks Win 21-17

It's a close game that comes down to the wire, but the Seahawks hold on for a much-needed win. Both defenses play great, but Russell Wilson is able to make a few more plays than Carson Palmer. The Seahawks fix some of their red zone woes, which proves to be the difference in the game.
