The Seattle Seahawks had eight players who were unable to dress due to injury for the team's 30-24 victory over the Oakland Raiders. In addition to that, two other players were in uniform but only available in emergency.

In total, the Seahawks were without eight projected starters on Sunday - a tall task for any team. However, reinforcements are on the way.

Per Curtis Crabtree of NBC's Pro Football Talk, "safeties Kam Chancellor (groin) and Jeron Johnson (concussion), center Max Unger (foot), defensive tackle Jordan Hill (ankle) and Russell Okung (calf) all are likely to play this week. In addition, cornerback Jeremy Lane is eligible to return from the injured reserve list after being designated to return following Week 1 with an injured groin."

Backup center Stephen Schilling, who came in for 18 snaps in emergency duty against Oakland, is also likely to be in better shape after suffering a knee injury last week.

All in all, head coach Pete Carroll expects anywhere from 4-8 players back and ready to go for Sunday's game against the New York Giants. That could prove huge for a Seahawks team that has been spreading itself thin for the majority of the 2014 NFL season.
