Quick-hitters:

Phillip Rivers played well against an intimidating defensive unit, finishing with 284 yards passing and three scores.

Ryan Matthews left the game with an injury - his short day came to an end with 11 carries for 31 yards.

The Seahawks started the game off slowly, and weren't able to get their playmakers involved. Percy Harvin had a big touchdown run in the first quarter, but disappeared the rest of the game.

Marshawn Lynch had a receiving touchdown, but didn't do much on the ground, rushing for 36 yards.

Key Player: Antonio Gates - seven receptions, 96 yards and three touchdown receptions

Turning Point: Late in the third quarter, Rivers threw a ball up for grabs while under severe pressure from the Seattle defense. Gates made a fingertip catch, and after juggling the ball on the way down, secured the catch.

That gave San Diego a 13 point lead, and while Seattle cut the deficit and even had a chance to win late, that score gave the Chargers all they needed to secure the win.

What We Learned:

1) Seattle doesn't look so invincible on the road. They made a few mistakes and were outplayed by the Chargers today.

2) Earl Thomas left the game with an injury. If it proves to be serious, Seattle's secondary takes a huge hit moving forward.

3) Probably nothing as far as the Chargers go. It's a statement win, but they have the ability to beat anyone or lose to anyone on any given week.

What's Next?

The Seahawks host the Denver Broncos, while San Diego heads to Buffalo.
