3 Reasons Why The Seahawks Are Super Bowl Favorites

The Seattle Seahawks were written off by many after a topsy-turvy start to this season, but it's time to recognize just how dangerous the reigning NFC champions are heading towards January. Here's 3 Reasons Why The Seahawks Are Super Bowl Favorites.

1. Defense
The Seahawks defense has found its sea legs once again after an uneven start to the 2015 season, and that's going to spell trouble for anyone who gets in their way this postseason. Once Seattle gets the pass rush moving like it has during its recent hot streak, the Legion of Boom gets that much tougher to shake on the back end.

Would you bet against this Seahawks defense against any NFC offense going today? Even the Packers are vulnerable due to a high-and-go-seek running game.

2. Pedigree
Looking at the current NFC playoff field, there's no one out there who has anywhere near the experience and seasoning that this Seahawks roster has from postseasons past. It may not be sexy to bet on the veteran horse in the race, but it sure is smart in this case. If you were forced (for some reason) to bet your entire bank account on one Super Bowl contender, who else on the NFC end would you pick other than the Seahawks?

3. Adaptability
With Pete Carroll at the helm, Seattle will never fall behind the eight ball when it comes to in-game shifts in planning. If constant variations of the QB read option are getting the job done, he'll make it happen. If the team needs to shift gears and air it out, he has the innate ability to pick it up right before the opposing team catches on. He's got the chops and the talent to counter any in-game difficulty with ease.
