2016 NFL Draft: Seahawks Pick Jarran Reed In 2nd Round - Scouting Report, Highlight Video And More

With the No. 49 overall selection in the 2016 NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks have selected DT Jarran Reed from Alabama. The Seahawks traded up with the Chicago Bears to make the pick.

Position: Defensive Tackle

Measurables: 6’3’’, 307 pounds, 5.21 40-yard dash, 33 3/8 arms

Scouting Report: A former JUCO transfer, Reed can play in a 3-4 or 4-3 scheme. Much like teammate A’Shawn Robinson, Reed is better at stopping the run than getting to the QB. However, Reed might have the slightly higher ceiling and could go before Robinson.
