In honor of Seattle Mariners legend Ken Griffey Jr.’s election to the National Baseball Hall of Fame on Wednesday, longtime teammate and friend Jay Buhner raised a No. 24 flag on top of Seattle’s Space Needle. Griffey wore No. 24 during his 13 years with the Mariners, comprising the bulk of his 22-year career in Major League Baseball.
