MINNEAPOLIS — With heavy snow forecasted to fall around the time of first pitch of the series finale, the Minnesota Twins elected to postponed the game because of “inclement weather” until a later date.
After playing having the coldest starting first pitch in franchise history of 27 degrees on Saturday, the temps were expected to be warmer on Sunday. But the heavy snow was going to be a problem.
The first common open day between the two teams where they could possible make up the game seems to be Monday, May 14. Both teams have an offday and the Mariners would be in Detroit on that Sunday.
