Salt Lake Bees shut down Rainiers, winning 4-1

The visiting Tacoma Rainiers notched nine base hits but turned them into just one run in a 4-1 loss to the Salt Lake Bees on Saturday in a Pacific Coast League game.

First baseman Gordon Beckham had two hits and an RBI for Tacoma (39-36). Catcher David Freitas had a double and a single. Shortstop Zach Vincej scored the only run.

Tacoma pitcher Christian Bergman (4-5) took the loss, allowing four runs on 11 hits in five innings.

Ryne Ogren drove in three runs as the AquaSox (6-3) ran their winning streak to six games in a Northwest League victory over the Dust Devils.
