ROUND ROCK, Texas — Ike Davis hit a three-run home run in the second inning, leading the Round Rock Express to a 4-3 victory over the Tacoma Rainiers in a Pacific Coast League game Monday night.
The Rainiers trailed 4-0 through four innings, but scored twice in the sixth and once in the ninth. They had the tying run at third base when Zach Shank flew out to right field.
Adrian Sampson (4-3) took the loss, allowing four earned runs in six innings on nine hits and one walk. He struck out four.
Round Rock had a 10-7 hit advantage over Tacoma, which was coming off a four-game sweep of Iowa.
