PEORIA, Ariz. — The Mariners continued Cactus League play this evening, with a 3–2 win over the Cleveland Guardians at Peoria Stadium. Julio Rodríguez scored all three of the Mariners runs, including an inside-the-park home run in the seventh inning.
The Guardians jumped out to an early 1–0 lead with a solo home run in the top of the first inning, but that was the only scoring they would muster against Seattle starter Chris Flexen. Flexen finished his day having spun 5.0 innings, while allowing only the 1 run with no walks and 3 strikeouts.
