SEATTLE, Wash. — Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced today that right-handed pitcher Art Warren has been claimed off waivers by the Texas Rangers.
Seattle’s Major League, 40-man, roster is now at 33.
Warren, 27, did not appear with Seattle in 2020. He was recalled from the alternate training on Aug. 18, but did not play and was optioned back to the alternate training site on Aug. 19. The 6-foot-3, 230-pound right-hander tossed 3.0 scoreless innings across 3 relief appearances during Summer Camp at T-Mobile Park, posting a record of 1–0 while striking out 3 and walking 1.
