EL PASO, Texas – The Tacoma Rainiers dropped their series finale with the El Paso Chihuahuas, falling 7-5 Friday night.
Tacoma (10-5) pounded out nine hits, led by center fielder Boog Powell (2 for 3), catcher Mike Zunino (2 for 3) and right fielder Mike Baxter (2 for 4). Zunino and designated hitter Stefen Romero hit two-run homers.
Starter Donn Roach (1-1) allowed five earned runs on seven hits in five innings.
