The Mariners unveiled a new initiative designed to help make baseball and softball more accessible to young players called On BASE — Baseball & Softball Everywhere.
Through new and existing programs and partnerships, the Mariners are working to help break down barriers that might make it difficult for kids who want to play to have access to the game. Initiatives include such things as support for scholarships that help pay registration fees, grants for uniforms, equipment and field maintenance, as well as training for players and youth coaches.
