Nelson Cruz is helping the Seattle Fire Department in their quest to win a $10,000 grant from the Medic One Foundation.
Nelson took some time before batting practice Friday to pose for photos with several members of the Seattle Fire Department, as well as Seattle Fire Chief Harold Scoggins and an engine from Station 17. The photos will be used to promote SFD’s team in the Medic One Hotshot Crew Challenge.
Starting June 8, teams from 10 Puget Sound area fire departments will begin social media campaigns to encourage people to vote for their team.
