Scott Servais had heard whispers about the throng of Blue Jays fans who visit Safeco Field for Toronto's annual trip to Seattle, but the sheer quantity didn't resonate until the partisan crowd's enthusiastic rendition of "O Canada" -- the Canadian national anthem -- Monday before the Mariners' 3-2 loss in the series opener.
"You know, I heard about it coming in, that when we play the Blue Jays it's a little different in Safeco," the first-year Mariners manager said Tuesday. "But you never really know. You kind of have to experience it (so) you understand it.
