The offseason may still be young, but new Seattle Mariners general manger Jerry Dipoto has already proven that he isn't going to wait around to improve his club.
The M's were involved in their third deal of the winter on Monday when they traded reliever Tom Wilhelmsen, outfielder James Jones and a player to be named later to the Texas Rangers in exchange for outfielder Leonys Martin and right-hander Anthony Bass.
In previous deals, Seattle had already landed reliever Joaquin Benoit and right-hander Nathan Karns, among others.
