NEW YORK, N.Y. — Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Justin Hollander announced today that the Mariners have acquired right-handed pitcher Mike Baumann and minor league catcher Michael Pérez from the Baltimore Orioles in exchange for catcher Blake Hunt.
The Mariners Major League, 40-man roster remains full at 40 players.
Baumann (BAUGH-man), 28, made 17 appearances out of the Orioles bullpen this season, going 1–0 with a 3.44 ERA (7 ER, 18.1 IP) with 9 walks and 16 strikeouts. The right-hander was designated for assignment by Baltimore on May 18.
