SEATTLE — Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Justin Hollander and Vice President of High Performance and Medical Rob Scheidegger announced today the following medical update on right-handed pitcher Logan Evans.
Evans, 24, had surgery to reconstruct a torn ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) in his right arm on January 23. The UCL reconstruct and internal brace procedure was performed by Dr. Keith Meister in Texas. The estimated recovery time is approximately 12 months.
