PEORIA, Ariz. -- Catcher Mike Zunino is looking to build off his best season as a Seattle Mariner.
Zunino enters his sixth season after setting several career highs at the plate. No catcher currently in Mariners spring training has close to the same big league experience as the 26-year-old Zunino.
He hit .251 with 25 home runs and 64 RBIs last season. Zunino caught 994 innings, the second-most in the American League.
An early-season demotion to Triple-A, which became an annual event as he struggled with his hitting, helped him figure out what needed to change.
