After his mother, Suzy, was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s in 2014, Mariners minor league outfielder Braden Bishop founded the 4MOM Charity to raise money — and awareness — for Alzheimer’s research.
Bishop, who earned an invite to Seattle’s Major League camp this spring, pledged $10 for every single, $20 for every double and $30 for every triple he hit during a Cactus League game this spring. The Mariners 3rd-round selection in the 2015 MLB Draft out of the University of Washington has put together a strong spring campaign, batting .370 (10x27) with a double and a triple.
