On the final day before the Mariners leave for Japan, the club saw Opening Day starter Marco Gonzales get his last tune-up outing of the spring and Ryon Healy belt his 2nd home run in his last 3 games.
The Mariners will depart Arizona for Japan Thursday afternoon and will arrive in Tokyo on March 15. After a pair of exhibition games against the Yomiuri Giants on March 17–18, Seattle will open the regular season with the 2-game 2019 Japan Opening Series against Oakland on March 20–21.
