SEATTLE, Wash. — Seattle Mariners Director of Amateur Scouting Scott Hunter announced today that the Mariners have signed right-handed pitcher Emerson Hancock, their 1st-round selection, outfielder Zach DeLoach, their 2nd-round selection, and right-handed pitcher Taylor Dollard, their 5th-round selection, from the 2020 MLB First-Year Player Draft.
“Emerson Hancock fits everything we’re doing with the Seattle Mariners, both in terms of his ability as a player and his character as a person,” Hunter said. “He is a true power arm who has the tools and the drive to pitch at the top of the starting rotation.
