Mariners Sign Catcher/Designated Hitter Mitch Garver to 2-year Major League Contract

SEATTLE, Wash. — Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Justin Hollander announced today that the Mariners have signed catcher/designated hitter Mitch Garver to a 2-year contract through 2025 with a mutual option that runs through the 2026 season.

The Mariners Major League, 40-man roster is now at 37.

“Mitch is a hitter we had targeted from the start of the offseason,” Mariners President of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto said. “He’s a proven winner who brings a strong combination of zone discipline, on-base skills, and power to the middle of our lineup, while also adding tough to find depth at key positions.
