Mariners General Manager Jerry Dipoto announced today the following roster moves:
· Shawn Armstrong, RHP, selected from AAA Tacoma.
· Nick Rumbelow, RHP, optioned to AA Arkansas.
Seattle’s Major League, 40-man, roster is now at 40 players.
Armstrong (#37) will be in uniform and available for tonight’s (7:10 pm PT) game vs. the San Diego Padres at Petco Park.
Armstrong, 27 (turns 28 on Sept. 11), is 15-for-17 in save opportunities while posting a record of 2–5 with a 1.77 ERA (11 ER, 56.0 IP) in 49 relief appearances with AAA Tacoma this season.
