Mariners Select 8 Players on Day 2 of 2018 MLB Draft

The Mariners selected 8 players on the second day of the 2018 MLB First-Year Player Draft on Tuesday.

In the first 10 rounds, the Mariners selected five pitchers (1 LHP and 4 RHP), two catchers, one infielder and two outfielders. Each of the 10 draft picks have been college selections.

Here is a look at the Mariners first 10 selections in the 2018 Draft:

· 1st Round (14th overall): Logan Gilbert, RHP, Stetson
· 2nd Round (54th overall): Josh Stowers, OF, Louisville
· 3rd Round (90th overall): Cal Raleigh, C, Florida State
· 4th Round (118th overall): Michael Plassmeyer, LHP, Missouri
· 5th Round (148th overall): Nolan Hoffman, RHP, Texas A&M
· 6th Round (178th overall): Joey O’Brien, RHP, Southern Nevada
· 7th Round (208th overall): Jake Anchia, C, Nova Southeastern
· 8th Round (238th overall): Joey Gerber, RHP, Illinois
· 9th Round (268th overall): Keegan McGovern, OF, Georgia
· 10th Round (298th overall): Matt Sanders, INF, Troy

The Mariners selected catcher Cal Raleigh out of Florida State University with their 3rd-round pick (90th overall).
