Despite the narrative that the current season would be one of rebuilding and losing, the Ms have gotten off to a white-hot start. Through the first eight games, Seattle has an MLB-best 7-1 record, and has done it with a totally remade roster.
Things kicked off across the world in Japan, where the Mariners sent Ichiro off with a two-game sweep of the Oakland Athletics – a team coming off of a 97-65 season that led to a postseason appearance.
