Mariners Reinstate Ken Giles, Recall Kevin Padlo

SEATTLE, Wash. — Seattle Mariners President of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced the following roster moves:

· Ken Giles, RHP, reinstated from 60-day Injured List (right middle finger sprain).

· Kevin Padlo, INF, recalled from Triple-A Tacoma.

· Roenis Elías, LHP, designated for assignment.

· Sergio Romo, RHP, designated for assignment.

The Mariners Major League, 40-man, roster is now at 39 players.

Giles, 31, will make his Mariners debut with his first appearance. He began this season on the Injured List with a right middle finger sprain that he suffered in spring training, and made 8 Major League rehab appearances with High-A Everett and Triple-A Tacoma, going 0–1 with a 14.
