SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Mariners General Manager of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced today the following roster moves:
· Zac Grotz, RHP, recalled from alternate training site.
· José Marmolejos, INF/OF, appointed as “29th man” for today’s doubleheader.
· Carl Edwards Jr., RHP, transferred to the 45-day Injured List.
· Taylor Guilbeau, LHP, transferred to the 45-day Injured List.
Grotz (#37) and Marmolejos (#26) will be in uniform and available for today’s (12:10 pm PT) doubleheader against the San Diego Padres at Petco Park.
Grotz, 27, will begin his second stint with the Mariners this season, after making 4 appearances from July 24-August 3, going 0–0 with a 12.
