SEATTLE, Wash. — Seattle Mariners President of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced today the following roster moves:
· Justin Upton (#8), OF, recalled from Triple-A Tacoma.
· Sam Haggerty, INF/OF, optioned to Triple-A Tacoma (post-game June 16).
Upton, 34, signed a 1-year Major League contract with Seattle on May 21. He reported to extended Spring Training in Peoria, Arizona and later joined Triple-A Tacoma, appearing in 12 games and batting .200 (9x45) with 8 runs, 2 doubles, 2 home runs, 6 RBI and 6 walks with the Rainiers.
