The Mariners recalled catcher Mike Zunino and outfielder Norichika Aoki from Class AAA Tacoma before Wednesday’s game against the White Sox.
The club also welcomed back starter Felix Hernandez for Wednesday’s game.
To clear space for Zunino, Aoki and Hernandez, the Mariners optioned catcher Jesus Sucre, outfielder Daniel Robertson and reliever David Rollins to Tacoma.
Both Aoki and Zunino were in the starting lineup for Wednesday’s game.
Zunino batted .286 with two homers in just eight plate appearances during his first stint with the Mariners this season. Maybe just as noteworthy, he struck out once.
