Mariners General Manager Jerry Dipoto announced today that the club has outrighted the contract of outfielder Cameron Perkins to AAA Tacoma.
Seattle’s Major League, 40-man, roster is now at 38 players.
Perkins, 27, hit .308 (8x26) with 2 runs and 1 RBI in 10 Cactus League games with the Mariners this spring. The 6-foot-5, 195-pound outfielder was claimed off waivers by the Mariners from the Phillies on Dec. 11, 2017. He made his Major League debut with Philadelphia in 2017. After being selected by the Phillies on June 20, he appeared in 42 games, batting .
