Mariners Outright INF Eric Campbell to Triple-A Tacoma

SEATTLE, Wash. — Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced today that the Mariners have outrighted infielder Eric Campbell to Triple-A Tacoma. Campbell cleared waivers earlier today.

Seattle’s Major League, 40-man, roster is now at 38 players.

Campbell, 34, appeared in 4 games with the Mariners this season, batting .273 (3x11) with 1 run, 1 walk and 1 strikeout. He started 2 games at third base (5/25, 5/29) and 1 at first base (5/26).

He was signed by Seattle as a minor league free agent on May 12 and assigned to Triple-A Tacoma on May 13.
