Mariners Moose Tracks, 7/4/21: Brett Phillips, Shane Carle, and radioactive terror pigs

To those of you in the U.S., enjoy a safe and hopefully satisfying July 4th!

In Mariners news:

  • Seattle is scraping up more Triple-A pitching depth, signing 29 year old RHP Shane Carle to a minor league deal. Carle is far from uninteresting, with decent numbers in 76.1 career innings in MLB.

Mariners have signed reliever Shane Carle and assigned him to Tacoma. Had a strong year in the Atlanta bullpen in 2018; was with Louisville (CIN) this year until very recently.

  • Some national love for Scott Servais:
  • Hector Santiago is trying to keep the umps off his case, ordering a new glove online after being forced to ditch his previous one for an unsatisfactory color scheme.
