Following the loss on Tuesday night, manager Scott Servais met with three players – left-hander David Rollins, outfielder Daniel Robertson and catcher Jesus Sucre. All three are being optioned to Class AAA Tacoma.
These moves aren’t unexpected. Rollins’ spot on the roster will go to Felix Hernandez, who comes off the disabled list to start on Wednesday.
The likely corresponding moves for Sucre and Robertson would be catcher Mike Zunino and outfielder Norichika Aoki.
With Chris Iannetta struggling some at the plate, you could see Zunino playing more than a typical back-up. Aoki will be in left field and back at the leadoff spot vs.
