MESA, Ariz. -- It's only Spring Training, but Edwin Diaz's seventh inning wasn't just good, it was immaculate.
The right-hander struck out the side on nine pitches, one of the highlights in the Mariners' 6-2 victory over the A's on Thursday night.
"You don't see it very often," Mariners manager Scott Servais said. "That's why you come to the ballpark every night. Sometimes, you see things you don't get a chance to see too often. He's special. The stuff has been really good and the command has been good the last couple of times out.
