ARLINGTON, Texas — Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced today the Mariners claimed INF Kevin Padlo off waivers from the Tampa Bay Rays. To make room on the 40-man roster, RHP Justin Dunn was transferred from the 10-day to the 60-day Injured List.
The Mariners Major League, 40-man, roster remains full at 40 players.
Padlo, 25, will report to Triple-A Tacoma. He was designated for assignment by Tampa Bay on August 17. He appeared in 9 games with the Rays this season, making his Major League debut on April 6, 2021.
