Mariners Agree to Terms with Three Arbitration Eligible Players

SEATTLE, Wash. — Mariners General Manager Jerry Dipoto announced today that the club has agreed to terms on 2020 contracts with three arbitration eligible players on the club’s Major League, 40-man roster: outfielder Mitch Haniger, outfielder Mallex Smith and right-handed pitcher Sam Tuivailala. Per club policy, the terms of the contracts were not disclosed.

By agreeing to terms with the three players, the Mariners have no remaining arbitration eligible players.

Haniger, 29, missed 95 games on the Injured List in 2019 after he was placed on the 10-Day IL on June 17 with a ruptured testicle.
