BOSTON — Nick Vincent is back in the Mariners bullpen. The veteran right-hander was activated from the disabled list on Friday morning after missing the last 24 games with a right groin strain.
“Getting Nick back, he’s done a great job for us the last couple of years,” manager Scott Servais said. “We’ll use him in a variety of roles. He could come in and get us out of traffic and pitch an inning. He’s pitched in the eighth inning before so we could mix and match with him and (James) Pazos, (Alex) Colome, (Juan) Nicasio in that group.
