Mariners General Manager Jerry Dipoto announced today the following roster moves:
· Ben Gamel, OF, activated from the 10-day disabled list.
· Aríel Miranda, LHP, optioned to AAA Tacoma.
Gamel (#16) will be in uniform and available for tonight’s (7:10 pm PT) game against the Houston Astros at Safeco Field.
Gamel, 25, was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a right oblique strain on March 28 (retroactive to March 26). He began his rehab assignment on April 5 with high-A Modesto, where he hit .294 (5x17) with 6 runs, 1 double and 4 walks in 5 games.
