Barely an hour after their home sweep at the hands of the Yankees, the Seattle Mariners acquired one-time All-Star outfielder Mark Trumbo and left-handed reliever Vidal Nuño from the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for reliever Dominic Leone, catcher Welington Castillo and two prospects.
Trumbo, 29, is hitting .259 this season mainly from the right-field position. The six-year veteran has nine home runs and 10 doubles through 46 games, and has a slugging percentage of .506.

Mariners GM Jack Zduriencik said the team plans to rotate Trumbo in with current outfielders Nelson Cruz, Seth Smith and Justin Ruggiano, who all have also seen time at designated hitter this season.
