Seattle Mariners President of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced today that the Mariners have acquired infielder Alex Blandino and cash considerations from the San Francisco Giants in exchange for outfielder Stuart Fairchild.
The Mariners Major League, 40-man roster remains full at 40 players.
Blandino, 29, has appeared in 24 games with Triple-A Sacramento, batting .183 (15x82) with 13 runs scored, 5 doubles, 1 home run, 9 RBI, 13 walks and 1 stolen base. He hit safely in 8 of 10 games from April 13–26, batting .
