Mariners Acquire All-Star 1st Baseman Yonder Alonso from Oakland

Seattle Mariners General Manager Jerry Dipoto today announced that the Mariners have acquired infielder Yonder Alonso from the Oakland Athletics in exchange for minor league outfielder Boog Powell.

Alonso, 30, was hitting .266 (85x319) with 52 runs, 17 doubles, 22 home runs, 49 RBI, a .369 on-base percentage, .527 slugging mark and a .896 OPS in 100 games with Oakland.
