With most of the Mariners bonus pool money spent, the MLB Draft enters the “back nine” now, so we’ll be combining these later-round picks into a few different writeups. Here’s who the Mariners picked in Rounds 7-10.
Round Seven: RHP Colton Shaw, Yale
A former two-way player who pivoted later in his career at Yale to focus only on pitching, Colton Shaw was a weekend starter for the Bulldogs’ rotation this season and performed excellently, working to a 3.13 ERA on the year and earning Ivy League Pitcher of the Week multiple times and First Team All-Ivy honors this season.
