AUSTIN, Texas (KEYE) Austin Police arrested a 28-year-old man Sunday after he allegedly tried to fly out of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport with 22 pounds of pot inside his luggage.
According to an arrest affidavit, police arrested Joshua Johnson on a home burglary parole violation at ABIA on February 28. The warrant was issued February 19th. When officers pulled Johnson's blue Samsonite bag, a narcotic K9 immediately reacted. The K9 started scratching at the source of the odor, something he is trained to do when he's sniffing out illegal drugs.
Johnson allowed police to search his bag.
