I was very high on Luis Torrens after watching him play last season, but that confidence quickly depleted. The Seattle Mariners catcher was trying to stay above the Mendoza Line at the end of April and he didn’t get much better as May came around.
The Seattle Mariners clearly needed to change something and Luis Torrens had two minor league options left, so the team opted to use one of them and send him down to Tacoma.
