KIRBY OUTSTANDING IN FINAL SPRING START AS MARINERS BEAT WHITE SOX 8–2

GLENDALE, Ariz. — As the Mariners future stars showcased their talents in the Spring Breakout at Peoria Stadium, the Major Leaguers handled their business against the White Sox winning 8–2 to even their Spring Training record at 13–13–3.

George Kirby was excellent in his final outing of the spring, breezing through 6.0 innings, allowing just 1 run on 3 hits and 1 walk, striking out 7. He faced the minimum in 4 of his 6 innings.

The Mariners used a 6-run 3rd inning to take command early. Dominic Canzone blasted a ball onto the berm in left-center for his 4th home run of the spring to highlight the big inning.
